Carpentry & Joinery Training Courses

Our Carpentry and joinery training courses help offer students a basic knowledge, understanding and skills of the carpentry industry.

The qualification is aimed at helping students gain a qualification which could help lead to them gaining further skills and having a career in this industry.

In our well-equipped workshop we have a wide range of carpentry tools and woodworking machinery. Our classrooms and computer facilities offer students a link between the practical and knowledge part of the training course.

The Carpentry Training Course involves 27 hours of learning and has a credit value of 3. Students on completing the course are awarded the

NCFE Level 1 Award in Exploring Occupational Studies for the workplace

Additional qualifications can be earned by taking part in other courses.

NCFE Level 1 Award in Occupational Studies – requires 6 credits

NCFE Level 1 Certificate in Occupational Studies – requires 13 credits

NCFE Level 1 Diploma in Occupational Studies – requires 37
